About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee all phases of project management, including design, construction, permitting, occupancy, quality control, staffing, scheduling, closeout, and budget management
  • Provide strategic oversight across concurrent projects and ensure alignment with business objectives and client needs
  • Partner with senior leadership to define project scope, objectives, and success metrics
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead, mentor, coach, and develop team members
  • Oversee resource allocation, staffing decisions, and performance evaluations
  • Develop and implement client-focused communication strategies
  • Monitor project progress against KPIs, analyze trends and root causes, and recommend solutions
  • Manage contracts, budgets, expenditures, and financial performance
  • Lead high-impact meetings and facilitate engagement with clients, executives, designers, contractors, vendors, and user groups
  • Oversee project documentation, procurement strategies, furniture acquisitions, and relocation processes
  • Optimize project workflows using best practices for efficiency, scalability, and sustainability
  • Lead planning and delivery of client-focused projects to defined quality, timeline, and stakeholder standards
  • Manage 5–10 project team members across concurrent initiatives
  • Forecast and manage utilization, capacity, and performance
  • Deliver projects contributing to $1M–$3M in annual revenue
  • Support portfolio growth by defending existing relationships, reengaging dormant clients, expanding opportunities, and targeting new prospects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Typically 10+ years of project management experience
  • Experience with several large and unique programs and overseeing several projects in parallel
  • Strong past MEP experience
  • Expert skills in construction project management, people leadership, and client engagement
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a strategic mindset
  • Experience cultivating and growing a portfolio of projects and client accounts
  • Ability to identify opportunities, expand services, and deliver exceptional client outcomes
  • Travel extensively throughout Massachusetts for client engagements, site visits, and stakeholder relationships
  • Expected on-site presence of approximately 25–50%
  • Flexibility to attend evening town meetings, public hearings, and community engagement events
  • Exceptional team leadership, coaching, and communication abilities
  • Problem-solving ability, including identifying root causes, solutions, ROI, and risks
  • Proficiency with core technology and eagerness to explore cutting-edge solutions
  • Proactive, self-motivated, adaptable, client-focused, and collaborative approach
  • Ability to serve as a technical coach and role model to less experienced staff
