About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Represent the owner and lead major capital projects from early planning through occupancy
Manage design teams, contractors, budgets, schedules and regulatory compliance
Ensure projects support clinical operations and patient safety
Help drive project delivery, resolve issues quickly and ensure all stakeholders remain aligned
Act as the single point of responsibility representing the owner’s interests on healthcare capital projects
Lead project execution from programming through occupancy and post-occupancy evaluation
Coordinate with executive leadership, facilities, clinicians, and end users to define project requirements
Manage architects, engineers, and consultants during planning and design phases
Review design documents for constructability, operational efficiency, infection control, and regulatory compliance
Facilitate design reviews, user group meetings, and value-engineering efforts
Oversee construction managers, general contractors, and trade partners
Monitor schedule, budget, quality, and risk throughout construction
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and codes
Coordinate inspections, surveys, and approvals required for occupancy

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field
10+ years of experience in healthcare construction or capital project management
Demonstrated experience acting as an owner’s representative or similar role
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, codes, and accreditation standards
