About the role
- Edit 3–5 YouTube Shorts per week (30–60 sec each)
- Turn talking-head or B-roll footage into fast-paced, punchy edits
- Add captions, text overlays, music, cuts, transitions for high retention
- Work from our content repository and collaborate with our creative team
- Ensure each Short is optimized for YouTube’s unique viewer behavior
Requirements
- Proven experience editing YouTube Shorts (not just Reels or TikTok)
- Understanding of pacing, retention hooks, and visual rhythm for YT Shorts
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and communicative
- Strong grasp of English for editing captions/text
- Familiar with common educational content styles on YouTube
- Bonus (not required): Familiarity with Descript or similar tools for transcription/caption workflows
- Experience editing content in the beauty/wellness niche
- Comfortable working in Google Drive/ClickUp
