About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Apply accounting principles in routine review and analysis of financial information
  • Assist field auditors with preparing work papers and schedules for audit engagements
  • Perform financial analyses and respond to review comments and feedback
  • Collect, input, and download client data
  • Review financial analyses for formulaic accuracy and compare them with client records
  • Maintain due dates for tasks
  • Prepare correspondence and perform back-end processing and basic quality assurance
  • Support Senior Staff, Team Leads, and Managers with training and onboarding of new hires
  • Gather, organize, and analyze data
  • Communicate with team members regarding information requests
  • Collaborate with team members on tasks
  • Develop more efficient and consistent centralized processes
  • Agree client-prepared work papers to the general ledger
  • Perform mathematical calculations and analytical procedures
  • Vouch transactions to source documents and trace source documents to accounting records
  • Compare subsidiary schedules to account reconciliations
  • Identify, document, and communicate errors, trends, unusual transactions, and accounting relationships
  • Prepare work papers documenting procedures performed
  • Assist with preparing or validating financial statements
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce
  • 1–3 years of public accounting experience
  • CA/CPA desirable
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and accept feedback
  • Ability to complete projects timely and accurately
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Ability to maintain objectivity, skepticism, and integrity
  • Willingness to be assertive
  • Ability to work 11 am to 8 pm India local time
  • Willingness to work more than the stated hours when needed
