About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute project work plans, including reviewing data and supporting documentation for R&D tax credits under IRC Sections 41 and 174
- Assist in leading technical interviews with client personnel, such as scientists and engineers, to gather key project details
- Prepare and review appropriate quantitative and qualitative documentation to support project results using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Alteryx
- Assist in leading client meetings and internal team discussions to communicate project progress and findings
- Support client relationships by delivering exceptional client service and fostering collaboration with stakeholders
- Mentor and train associates through on-the-job technical guidance and coaching, helping them build foundational skills in tax consulting and technology
- Collaborate with managers and senior leadership to manage risk, execute reviews, and deliver high-quality outcomes
- Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to meet deadlines and exceed client expectations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 2 years of experience performing R&D Tax Credit and Section 174 studies required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Engineering; MST (Master of Science in Taxation) is a plus
- CPA, EA, PE or JD preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
