About the role
- Coordinate and facilitate pre-employment background checks for India-based hires
- Liaise with external background check vendors for investigations
- Review and adjudicate background check results
- Partner with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, and Legal
- Continuously identify ways to enhance background investigation policies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field
- 3–5+ years of relevant HR compliance, background investigations, or related experience
- Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance frameworks
- Sound understanding of Shops & Establishments Acts, Aadhar regulations, FCRA, Fair Chance Acts, DPDP, GDPR
- Experience with HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems, and background screening tools
