About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute to the engineering, integration, verification and validation of complex satellite Ground Segment systems for next-generation Earth Observation missions
- Support the definition, analysis and maintenance of system and ground segment requirements, ensuring end-to-end traceability
- Contribute to system architecture, interface definition and Ground Segment design activities
- Support Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE ) activities and maintain engineering models
- Prepare, execute and document Integration, Verification & Validation (IV&V) activities throughout the development lifecycle
- Develop test specifications, test procedures, verification reports and support system verification campaigns
- Participate in technical reviews including SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, IVVR and Operational Readiness Reviews
- Support anomaly investigation, configuration management and engineering documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in Ground Segment System Engineering within the space industry
- Experience throughout the complete System Engineering lifecycle
- Strong experience in Requirements Engineering and requirements management using IBM DOORS or equivalent
- Hands-on experience in Integration, Verification & Validation (IV&V) activities
- Experience with Ground Segment integration , testing and verification campaigns
- Knowledge of ECSS engineering standards and engineering reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR)
- Experience with Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and system/interface engineering
- Experience with Configuration Management and requirements traceability
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Enterprise Architect is considered an asset
- Experience with Linux and scripting (Python/Bash) is an advantage
- Previous experience in Earth Observation , Copernicus , ESA or EUMETSAT programmes is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills and fluent English.
