Serve as the primary financial advisor and point of contact for high-profile clients in the music business
Oversee and review client financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements – cash flow, profit & loss, balance sheet, general ledger
Track all tour-related income and expenses. Prepare tour reconciliations with budget-to-actual reporting
Supervise and manage various staff assigned to client accounts and coordinate with tax and royalty departments
Coordinate all aspects of cash flow management, including budgeting, forecasting, payables, receivables, royalty income, and touring revenue
Monitor and track income from royalties, licensing, merchandise, and touring
Handle payroll for clients, including crew, band members, assistants, and household employees
Manage client banking relationships, wire transfers, credit card allocations, and bank reconciliations
Review and maintain QuickBooks/AgilLink ledgers or other accounting systems for client with multiple entities
Collaborate with mangers, attorneys, agents, tax, insurance, and investment advisors to ensure comprehensive financial oversight
Assist with year-end reporting, including 1099s and financial schedules for tax preparation
Provide strategic guidance on financial & tax planning, asset management, and risk mitigation.
Maintain a thorough understanding of client insurance coverage across properties, vehicles, liability, and specialty needs
Requirements
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in business management, accounting, or financial consulting within the entertainment industry, directly overseeing a book of clients.
Proven track record managing finances for musicians and touring acts
In-depth understanding of entertainment industry compensation structures, royalties, and revenue models
Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with experience mentoring or managing junior team members
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact directly with clients, agents, attorneys, and third parties
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously
Proficiency in QuickBooks, AgilLink, Excel, and other financial systems
Tax preparation experience is a plus (not required)
CPA is a plus (not required)
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus (not required)
