About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as an enthusiastic mentor and advocate for a culture of quality and care

  • Participate in team ceremonies
  • Prepare and execute tests
  • Write and document bugs and test cases
  • Create and review software quality documentation, such as test strategies, test plans, and evidence reports
  • Report on project delivery progress, risks, and issues
  • Progressively foster knowledge sharing, collaboration, and transparency
  • Participate in meetings to define timelines and deliverables
  • Create and execute manual and automated test scenarios for web applications and APIs
  • Plan, develop, and execute progressive and regression test plans
  • Define and validate test scenarios with each new version release
  • Work closely with the development team to identify process improvement opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree completed or currently pursuing, from the 4th semester onward, in Systems Analysis, Information Technology, Computer Science, or another IT-related field
  • Experience with functional and non-functional testing
  • 3+ years of experience as a Test Analyst
  • Experience with test and defect management tools
  • Experience developing test automation scripts
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, and/or SAFe)
  • Knowledge of BDD
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Experience creating scripts using database languages (SQL, T-SQL, and/or PL/pgSQL)
  • Code control and versioning with Git
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience creating and maintaining test automation scripts (a plus)
  • Knowledge of cloud computing (AWS, GCP, Azure, or IBM Cloud) (a plus)
  • Experience in the financial services industry (a plus)
  • Software testing certifications, such as CTFL and CTAL (a plus)
  • Knowledge of Docker (a plus)
  • Knowledge of DevOps and NoOps culture (a plus)
  • Knowledge of Jenkins (a plus)
  • Programming logic and fundamentals (a plus)
