About the role

  • Implement the regulatory Pillar I and Pillar II frameworks, particularly in the area of financial risks and in ICAAP and ILAAP processes
  • Advise and support the Asset-Liability Management process for modelling and managing interest rate and liquidity risks using German best practices, including behaviorally oriented risk models (e.g., option risks)
  • Develop efficient approaches to integrate business cases into corporate planning as the basis for updating the risk inventory and risk strategy
  • Support the establishment and further development of a strong risk culture, including the assessment of necessary controls and risk-oriented process design
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements under German and European banking supervision law with respect to procedures and models
  • Provide subject-matter expertise on processes and standards in German retail banking
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across business areas and with the corporate group

Requirements

  • Completed degree in business administration or a comparable qualification, or relevant professional experience in a similar position at a bank
  • Extensive expertise in German retail banking
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in risk management processes, together with solid knowledge of risk management and control tools (including ALM) and experience implementing financial risk models (development, validation and implementation)
  • Demonstrated quantitative skills in the area of financial risks
  • Relevant practical experience implementing the topics listed above in a comparable environment
  • Strong communication skills and an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Proactive, independent working style and a strong affinity for numbers
  • High degree of reliability and conscientiousness
  • Excellent spoken and written German, very good English skills and ideally basic knowledge of French
