About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, implement, and maintain security controls across AWS GovCloud infrastructure and hybrid environments
- Support security operations including monitoring, detection, and response activities
- Configure and manage network security solutions including firewalls and WAFs
- Integrate and support SIEM solutions for centralized logging and threat detection
- Perform vulnerability management including scanning and remediation tracking
- Ensure compliance with DoD requirements, including STIGs, RMF, and NIST
- Support incident response efforts including triage and containment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture
- Support continuous monitoring and audit readiness
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Active DoD Secret or Top-Secret clearance
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, network engineering, or cloud security
- Experience with AWS; AWS GovCloud preferred
- Strong network security knowledge, including firewalls and WAFs
- Experience with SIEM tools
- Working knowledge of NIST 800-53, RMF, and STIGs
