About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as principal analyst to the Director of Audit Readiness Cell under DASA(PPR) on business matters pertaining to the development and execution of Audit Readiness
- Apply knowledge of acquisition management rules, regulations, laws, and Army and Department of Defense acquisition policies and processes
- Support planning, programming, budgeting, scheduling, financial management execution, contracting oversight, cost/risk analyses, and engineering oversight
- Oversee integration of functions and develop metrics covering funding, procurement oversight, testing, cost, schedule, performance, engineering oversight, and strategic planning
- Use evaluation and testing findings and best practices to establish or modify financial management processes for audit-readiness reporting requirements
- Oversee maintenance and publication of corrective plans addressing control gaps and remediation steps
- Direct development of process flow charts showing assessable-unit distribution and responsibility for financial management processes and fund-type variations
- Provide technical direction for training improvement plans, milestones, and timelines for the PEO workforce
- Plan and organize reviews and provide technical/professional guidance to review teams
- Assume comprehensive responsibility for reviews and determine whether review programs meet objectives and require cross-organizational coordination
- Coordinate with functional personnel and brief, inform, and persuade general officers and senior executive service personnel
- Define goals, evaluate team progress, and recommend methods for achieving objectives
- Supervise development of internal review policies and procedures
- Interpret policies and procedures and liaise with external Army Audit Readiness agencies and senior command officials
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor degree required
- Active Secret Clearance
- This is an Army Acquisition and Technology position
- Level III certification in Acquisition Career Field (Program Management) is preferred
- One year of specialized experience preferred
- Served as the liaison for all financial statement auditor requests to ASA ALT and facilitated complete, accurate and timely responses
- Developed business process maps and narratives for existing processes, identifying necessary key internal controls and/or presenting corrective action/milestone plans to eliminate control gaps/deficiencies
- Capability to analyze business processes to identify and evaluate key controls and recommend improvements
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels through different mediums, including in person, email, and VTC
