About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supervise and lead a team of claims adjusters and specialists, ensuring performance objectives and quality standards are met
  • Review and approve coverage analysis on claims within delegated authority and escalate as necessary
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members
  • Monitor workflow, allocate resources, and resolve escalated issues to maintain service-level agreements
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, industry regulations, and internal policies for all claims activities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify process improvements and implement best practices for claims handling
  • Analyze claims data to identify trends, manage risk exposure, and recommend strategic initiatives
  • Conduct performance evaluations and contribute to workforce planning, including hiring, training, and succession management
  • Manage Construction Defect claims and drive efficient claims resolution to achieve business objectives and customer satisfaction

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in insurance, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 5 or more years of claims handling experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role
  • Proven track record managing complex and high-severity claims across multiple lines of business
  • State adjuster license where required or ability to obtain within specified timeframe
  • Professional insurance certification such as CPCU or AIC preferred
  • Claims investigation and analysis
