About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide regulatory advice on food contact materials, packaging legislation and wider product compliance.
  • Monitor changes in UK and international regulations, assessing their impact on products and the business.
  • Review supplier documentation and assess the compliance of raw materials and finished products.
  • Prepare Declarations of Compliance, regulatory statements and technical documentation.
  • Respond to customer regulatory and technical enquiries.
  • Support analytical testing by liaising with external laboratories and technical partners.
  • Maintain regulatory records and documentation to support audits and customer requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance while supporting product innovation.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymer Science or a related scientific discipline.
  • Previous Regulatory Affairs experience within manufacturing, chemicals, packaging or a similar technical environment.
  • Knowledge of food contact regulations, packaging legislation, REACH or equivalent regulatory frameworks.
  • The ability to interpret complex legislation and apply it in a practical commercial setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and engage with a range of stakeholders.
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach and the confidence to challenge convention in order to achieve the best outcome.
