About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Identify and evaluate new strategic acquisition and investment opportunities.
Contribute to deal process management, including coordination with legal, accounting, tax and third-party diligence advisors.
Conduct commercial, financial and operational due diligence workstreams with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
Support detailed financial modeling, valuation and other relevant diligence analyses.
Lead diligence discussions with external advisors and target management teams, in collaboration with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Prepare Board/executive-level materials, including transaction memos (e.g., merits and considerations).
Manage data rooms, diligence trackers and transaction process timelines.
Perform competitive analyses of current and adjacent markets, other ad-hoc strategic analyses such as whitespace / TAM analyses, buy vs. build, and scenario analyses.
Develop deep understanding of Cotiviti’s business units and near adjacent markets.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related degree.
2-4+ years of total experience, including experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate development experience.
Experience leading or supporting M&A transactions from diligence through closing.
Strong financial modeling, valuation and analytical skills (e.g., leverage buyouts, accretion / dilution analysis, analysis at various prices, comparable company analysis, discounted cashflow, revenue growth opportunity analyses).
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to synthesize data and concepts to support executive level communications.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
