About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure all activities are appropriately and managed to ensure safe operations .
- Supervise, train and mentor the site team to enable them to optimize their work contribution.
- Prepare presentations to provide reporting and updates to the Client and the Senior Leadership Team
- Attend progress meetings with the Client and Contractors to manage the works and progress, including chair meeting and minute taking.
- Review contractual agreements and develop working methods, RAMS, and programme
- Develop programmes and forecast budgets, assess actual programme and productivity achieved and review weekly, taking action where appropriate, and reporting any changes to the Project Manager and Commercial department.
- Provide input into the programme to ensure the appropriate specialists provide the level of resources with the necessary skills so as not to impede the construction programme.
- Communicate with the site team and the commercial team’s issues of non-conformance and contractual correspondence. Ensure that comprehensive records of resources employed on additional works are maintained.
- Ensure that inspection and test plans, risk assessments and method statements for the control of the works are reviewed, approved and adhered to.
- Supervising responsibility for site teams; liaison with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage pre-construction activities, ensuring company and client governances is followed at all times
- Work closely with the delivery team to overcome constructability issues at the earliest opportunity
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree level qualification or equivalent in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HND in Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering
- Relevant CSCS Card
- Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent HND/ HNC
- MICE
- MAPM
- Vocational Training (successful experience of project management)
