About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and implement business development strategies for the assigned market and portfolios
Develop and maintain growth plans for strategic opportunities to meet sector ambitions
Build and maintain strong trusting relationships with customers, strategic partners and other industry stakeholders
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive financial growth and positioning
Work closely with internal functions to develop strong and coherent propositions and offers for clients
Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities and performance
Maintain full compliance with internal governance and business planning activities

Requirements

What you’ll need

Relevant degree level qualification
Proven experience in a senior business development role within the infrastructure/engineering industry
Strong networker who actively builds rapport, listens to client needs
Excellent communicator able to present and negotiate effectively
Highly experienced in leading and managing multi-disciplined, cross-functional teams
Ability to think strategically and execute effectively
Creative & able to influence/develop new concepts and propositions
Demonstrable and proven organisational skills and project management capability
Adept analytical skills to enable effective development of understanding and insight of complex data
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (Microsoft Dynamics)
