About the role

  • Collaborate with marketing for the creation of personas, journey maps, and service blueprints across our connected experiences.
  • Define the UX strategy and information architecture for key product touchpoints, ensuring consistency across smartwatch, mobile, and web.
  • Synthesize user research to uncover behavioral insights, unmet needs, and opportunities to improve the customer experience.
  • Translate insights into clear, actionable frameworks that guide product and design decisions.
  • Design thoughtful and engaging user experiences for kids and parents across the smartwatch and mobile app ecosystem.
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs that reflect the product vision and user needs.
  • Support development of intuitive UI components for small screens (wearables) and mobile apps.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product and Design teams to ensure your strategic inputs inform UI execution.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and QA teams to ensure designs are feasible and implemented to spec.
  • Work closely with the Director of Product and Brand/Marketing teams to maintain design consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Participate in design reviews and sprint planning to stay aligned with feature timelines and release goals.
  • Contribute to and maintain a cohesive product design system and component library that supports the COSMO brand identity.
  • Create polished visual assets that reinforce brand values: safety, independence, and connection.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3–5 years of experience as a UX/UI Designer, preferably working on consumer-facing digital products, mobile apps, or wearables.
  • Design Skills: Proficient in Figma (or similar), with a strong understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and mobile design patterns.
  • Research-Driven: Experience incorporating user research and usability testing into the design process.
  • Kid-Centric Mindset: Passionate about designing intuitive and engaging experiences for young users and their parents.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working within cross-functional teams, sharing ideas early, and iterating quickly.
  • Visual Craftsmanship: Strong eye for visual detail, typography, color, and layout with sensitivity to accessibility and age-appropriateness.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with designing for wearable interfaces or small screens is a plus.
