About the role

  • The Program Manager, Resource Navigation will provide administrative and programmatic support to the disaster case management program.
  • The Program Manager, Resource Navigation will oversee scheduling and training of up to 10 AmeriCorps fellows.
  • This role will assist in establishing community partnerships and finding resources for those affected by the 2025 Los Angeles Wildfires.
  • This role will assist at the Rebuilding and Recovery Center and help direct survivors to appropriate recovery resources.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, a background in disaster response working directly with trauma-affected communities, and a deep commitment to serving vulnerable populations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Social Work, Community Outreach, Public Administration, or related fields, or equivalent professional experience. Masters preferred.
  • Knowledge of FEMA Individual Assistance Programs, Disaster Case Management Programs, and experience commensurate with the position.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in program coordination, disaster recovery, or community outreach
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Familiarity with community resources for disaster-affected populations and local knowledge of Los Angeles
  • Excellent written and spoken English; good communication skills and convincing presenter; proven forward planning and strategic skills; strong public relations skills and network building; good training and facilitation skills.
  • Bilingual a plus (Spanish preferred)
