About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work alongside seasoned Estimators and Project Managers to learn how damage assessment projects are measured, documented, and presented
Visit project sites to gather data
Collaborate with team members in the local office to prepare cost estimates
Assist with site visits to collect measurements, photos, and project details
Support analysis of labor, materials, and timelines for project estimates
Track costs and flag differences between projected and actual figures
Learn to prepare professional reports and data entries in estimating tools
Gain exposure to Xactimate and Bluebeam Revu

Requirements

What you’ll need

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in an AEC field such as civil engineering or construction management
Strong career interest in construction consulting, estimating, and project management
Comfortable working full time in both office and field environments
Willingness to travel locally
Willingness to work within or atop damaged buildings, including roofs
Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, finger, grasp, or feel
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, including a ladder
Ability to climb ladders upwards of 30 feet
Close visual acuity, with or without correction, for preparing reports and conducting inspections
Ability to use a computer terminal and keyboard, read printed documents, make detailed visual inspections, perceive color and depth, and maintain sufficient field of vision
