About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead all aspects of revenue generation and project execution for the new Columbus office
  • Obtain new clients through strategic marketing with the regional Business Development team
  • Organize and manage project teams, assignments, and schedules
  • Build relationships to drive repeat clients and team member retention
  • Negotiate and finalize project scopes and terms
  • Resolve complex technical issues
  • Identify risk exposures and their order of magnitude
  • Develop project estimates, bids, and proposals
  • Maintain and document the flow of project information
  • Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and ethical behavior
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and sensitive information

  • Perform construction consulting work at property-damage sites, including inspections of roofs, scaffolding, damaged buildings, crawl spaces, and other challenging environments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of project management experience in construction, restoration, and/or property insurance-related fields
  • Ability to travel and build camaraderie with a response team
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the workweek, including 2–3 team leader events per year
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, in-person environment and lead in the office and on project sites
  • Experience with Xactimate, RS Means, Bluebeam Revu, Primavera, and MS Project preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, especially Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in inclement weather and varied environmental conditions
  • Ability to work at elevated heights, in confined spaces, crawl spaces, and other challenging environments
  • Ability to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, and feeling
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, including a ladder
  • Close visual acuity sufficient for reports, computer work, printed documents, and detailed property inspections
