About the role
- Small team building a personal finance management app for iOS and Mac, expanding to Web and Android.
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs that support iOS, macOS, Android, and Web applications.
- Contribute to architecture and infrastructure discussions, recommending improvements to ensure scalability, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with Product and Client teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring best practices and high-quality standards.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in developer experience and system reliability.
- Support the team in technical decision-making and mentor junior engineers as needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working on backend services.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js / JavaScript (TypeScript a plus)
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform
- Hands-on experience with API design and architecture for mobile and web applications.
- English proficiency — all meetings and internal communications are conducted in English.
- Team player who can manage time independently.
- Based in Santiago, Chile
