About the role

  • As a Senior Gameplay Programmer at Coody, you’ll design, build, and evolve gameplay systems that sit at the core of player experience.
  • You’ll work hands-on in C++ within modern game engines, contributing to systems that are robust, scalable, and built for real-world production.
  • Assignments are typically 6–24 months, and as a consultant you’re expected to ramp up quickly and deliver value from day one.
  • You’ll take ownership of gameplay features from concept to implementation, working closely with designers, QA, and production to ensure systems are both technically sound and fun to play.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing gameplay systems, preferably in multiplayer games (shooters are a strong plus)
  • Excellent C++ skills with deep experience in a game engine environment (custom engine or Unreal)
  • Strong understanding of CPU architecture, memory, and performance trade-offs
  • Ability to explain and apply concepts like CPU caches in real-world code
  • Experience building gameplay systems that support emergent interactions
  • Broad familiarity across gameplay, physics, animation, AI, and systems integration
  • Strong foundation in 3D math (linear algebra, vectors, matrices)
  • Experience shipping at least one title in a C++ environment
  • Experience with live service development and maintaining systems post-launch
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
