About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, maintain, and enhance backend services using C# and the Microsoft technology stack
Analyze and implement changes to integration services for customer migration initiatives
Modify and maintain ASP.NET-based web portal functionality
Develop business-rule enhancements restricting editing of migration-flagged records
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues in legacy applications and integration services
Perform application and SQL Server performance analysis, profiling, and tuning
Write efficient SQL queries and stored procedures and optimize database performance
Collaborate with customers, Product Owners, and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical guidance
Participate in code reviews and uphold development best practices
Support application deployments using Octopus Deploy and internal deployment tools
Use Git/GitHub for source control
Produce maintainable, well-documented code
Recommend improvements to system architecture and application performance
Support a customer migration project involving integration services, UI restrictions, performance improvements, and delivery timelines

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong experience developing enterprise applications using C#, .NET, and Microsoft SQL Server
Hands-on experience maintaining and enhancing legacy ASP.NET applications
Ability to work with large, mature codebases developed by multiple contributors
Strong SQL Server development skills, including query optimization and performance tuning
Experience troubleshooting and optimizing performance across application and database layers
Experience using Git/GitHub for version control
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills for customer and stakeholder interaction
Ability to work independently within a distributed team
Preferred: experience with enterprise integration platforms and data synchronization solutions
Preferred: experience deploying with Octopus Deploy or similar tools
Preferred: experience with customer-facing enterprise software products
Preferred: familiarity with software modernization and migration projects
Preferred: experience implementing performance improvements in mature enterprise applications
