About the role
- Independently and proactively grow Complexly’s grant and philanthropic revenue streams.
- Build direct relationships with funders and major donors.
- Work with project teams to establish an early project vision, budget, and project plan.
- Communicate and collaborate with creative teams on proposal developments.
- Establish a long term vision for our grants program.
- Lead Complexly’s efforts to secure operational grants and capacity building grants.
- Represent Complexly at fundraising events and professional conferences.
- Lead the development of pitch decks, proposal writing, and grant reporting.
- Lead grant impact evaluation efforts.
- Establish workflows or regular check-ins with creative teams.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of the educational or non-profit media philanthropic space, ideally both.
- Secured multiple large grants (500k+) through previous experience in the development space.
- 7-10 years of experience in the development space.
- Network of potential funders in mind.
- Eager to support a growing organization and develop strong philanthropic relationships.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional organizational skills with great attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
