About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Engage with educators to validate and iterate the models driving analytics
- Develop understanding of algorithms, supporting technologies and platforms, and proprietary educational content
- Synthesize knowledge into actionable tests
- Build modules to identify each individual student’s academic needs
- Contribute to data infrastructure and insightful analytics to improve education
Requirements
What you’ll need- Creative problem-solving and ability to work with messy, real-world data
- Strong math/quantitative skills and excellent attention to detail
- Curiosity about using data to improve learning and student outcomes
- Studying or having studied Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Some coding experience and strong interest in technology and AI
- Experience with SQL, Python data tools such as Pandas or NumPy, or similar
- Experience building simple data pipelines or Python analysis scripts
- Proficiency with advanced Excel formulas and functions, tables and formatting, conditional formatting, advanced charting and visualizations, pivot tables and pivot reporting
- Productive use of Excel for analysis, including data tables, simulations, and Solver
- U.S. citizenship or nationality, lawful permanent residence, or authorization to work in the U.S. for this employer
