About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage instructional programs and consult with learning coaches and students
  • Support the instructional program with asynchronous web conferencing sessions and synchronous instruction
  • Complete all grading, create progress reports and conduct parent conferences
  • Communicate regularly with parents, students, and other teachers
  • Develop knowledge of K-12 curriculum and specifically the grades responsible for
  • Support students and parents with alternate strategies and additional assistance
  • Keep student records and data up-to-date

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Certified to teach High School English in South Carolina (appropriate to grade level responsibilities)
  • Must reside in South Carolina
  • Gifted and Talented Endorsement highly recommended
  • Strong technology skills (especially with MS Office programs and Google Suite)
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Highly organized and punctual
  • Customer focused approach
  • High degree of flexibility
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in fast paced environment
  • Team player track record
  • Willingness to travel on occasion for school and state testing events (may require occasional overnight travel)
  • Ability to work remotely, if necessary
  • Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support some families
