About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support GLLA’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) using the Response to Intervention Framework (RTI)
- Coordinate push-in and pull-out support in planning instruction and/or adaptation of the instructional program
- Design and implement specific strategies to promote growth in students identified for academic intervention
- Evaluate and measure effectiveness of MTSS strategies and interventions
- Provide intensive, research-based interventions for Tier 3 students
- Assist teachers in developing and implementing interventions
- Facilitate the Student Support Team (SST) process
- Develop instructional and behavioral support tools effectively
- Implement and track Tier 3 support for all identified students
Requirements
What you’ll need- Valid Michigan Teaching Certification in the required subject matter and grade band
- A minimum of 5 years fulltime successful teaching experience in the required subject matter and grade band
- Michigan Residency Preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Customer focused approach
- High degree of flexibility
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Technologically proficient (especially with Microsoft Office products)
