About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support LCA’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) using the Response to Intervention Framework (RTI)
  • Coordinate the push-in and pull-out support in planning instruction and/or adaptation of the instructional program using the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) model
  • Facilitate student learning in accordance with district policies and state guidelines
  • Design and implement specific strategies designed to promote intellectual, social, and physical growth in all students identified for academic intervention
  • Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of specific MTSS strategies and interventions in order to refine Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 levels of support
  • Support the instructional programs with regular and special education teachers
  • Provide intensive, research-based interventions for Tier 3 students

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Valid Michigan Teaching Certification in the required subject matter and grade band
  • A minimum of 5 years fulltime successful teaching experience in the required subject matter and grade band
  • Michigan Residency Required
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Customer focused approach
  • High degree of flexibility
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Technologically proficient (especially with Microsoft Office products)
