About the role
- Own and administer the CI/CD pipeline in Azure DevOps, including multi-stage deployments, gated approvals, artifact handling, and secure variable configuration across Dev, Integration, Test, Staging, and Production
- Execute SFDX package deployments across environments, troubleshooting metadata conflicts, dependency resolution failures, and package versioning issues
- Own manual promotion gates for higher-level environments (Staging, Production), ensuring release readiness, validation, and traceability before each promotion
- Manage release sequencing and deployment coordination across Scrum teams, ensuring changes are validated, tested, and promoted through gated environments
- Maintain environment parity, sandbox refresh schedules, and configuration governance across all Salesforce orgs
- Implement and enforce branching strategies, pull request workflows, merge gates, and code-quality standards in Git (Azure Repos)
- Facilitate break-fix and urgent deployments without violating governance, traceability, or compliance requirements
- Leverage Nebula Logger and Elasticsearch to diagnose deployment issues, trace errors, and support post-deployment validation
- Coordinate with MuleSoft and integration teams on deployment timing, API gateway changes, environment connections, certificates, secrets, and secure token handling
- Troubleshoot AWS-side issues impacting Salesforce or integrations, including logging, API endpoints, service connectivity, and performance
- Coordinate with development and QA teams to ensure deployment readiness and post-deployment validation
- Partner with cybersecurity to address findings by applying patches, completing STIG requirements, and remediating ACAS/Nessus findings
- Support SAST/DAST tooling (Checkmarx) and ensure vulnerabilities are tracked and remediated
- Produce and maintain audit-ready documentation including deployment notes, configuration records, STIG checklists, and pipeline diagrams
- Ensure all DevSecOps work complies with DoD cybersecurity requirements, IL-4 controls, and Connected Logistics governance standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent
- Associate's degree (AA) combined with 7+ years of experience may substitute for the bachelor's degree requirement
- 5+ years of DevOps, release engineering, or environment administration experience in enterprise systems
- Active Public Trust clearance
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines, variable groups, deployment sequencing, gated approvals)
- Strong Git proficiency with disciplined branching, pull requests, merge strategies, and code-quality gates
- Experience managing multi-environment deployment pipelines with both automated and manual promotion gates
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot deployment failures, configuration drift, and dependency conflicts in a CI/CD context
- Experience working cross-functionally with developers, testers, architects, integration teams, and security
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation and maintain compliance artifacts.
