About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform comprehensive evaluations, using standardized tests to determine pediatric patients' needs for therapy.
- Use your clinical judgment to develop and implement relevant treatment plans aligned with physician's orders.
- Provide in-home therapy services for pediatric patients with a ride range of diagnoses.
- Engage with patients' families, providing them with regular communication and updates on goals for their child.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including other therapy disciplines, physicians, and nurses, to develop holistic treatment plans that address the diverse needs of each patient.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation that reflects the care provided and communicates changes in treatment plans to the entire healthcare team.
- Actively participate in one-on-one meetings with team leads to discuss patient progress, share insights, and refine treatment strategies collaboratively.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A valid, active Occupational Therapy license in the state of Texas
- Current BLS/CPR License
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and automotive insurance
- Pediatric experience is preferred but not required.
