About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- As a support member of the fund controlling teams, responsible for a wide range of generalist tasks such as assisting with ongoing financial analyses, the budgeting process and forecasting, variance analyses, fee reconciliation and review, review of fund investments, ad hoc analyses, etc., to provide transparency and decision-making support for management
- Support with scenario analyses, research, financial projections and cash management
- Maintenance and continuous enhancement of management reporting
- Participation in the development and automation of reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes, and optimization of tools using AI to improve system efficiency and quality
- Participation in initiatives that promote AI-supported work environments, in cross-functional projects, and in linking IT and data flows.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Banking & Finance or Business Informatics
- Initial knowledge of the fund industry gained during or after studies — e.g., as a Financial Analyst in a bank’s asset management division, as an Investment Controller in management, or as an IT Auditor at a Big Four firm in the fund business
- Analytical and detail-oriented thinking
- Team orientation and interest in coordinating projects
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong interest in IT, databases, multidimensional data structures (cubes), and AI-supported work environments
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft 365 and working with databases
- Knowledge of SQL and Python, plus an interest in machine learning (ML) and AI-driven processes
- Knowledge of cubes
- German and English
