About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analysis of payment processes in core banking systems to identify potential improvements and efficiency gains
Software analysis and solution development, from concept to backlog refinement
Analysis and implementation of client requirements for payment transactions, including processing and account reconciliation, involving development, integration, testing and rollout
Operation of Instant Payments as a containerized solution
Collaboration with payment specialists to understand issues in business processes
Creation and maintenance of internal developments and interfaces
Ensuring delivery quality through close collaboration with the QA team
Troubleshooting payment issues, testing new and existing functions, and documenting stakeholder interactions
Providing support in problem resolution and responding to inquiries
Working according to agile principles.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
Knowledge of payment products such as payments, standing orders, direct debits, and card processing
Familiarity with payment systems and networks such as SIC, EUROSIC, SEPA, SWIFT and instant payments
Experience with tools such as JIRA and Confluence
Knowledge of payment standards and regulations such as ISO 20022, CBPR+, PSD2, and (EU) No 260/2012
Analytical, detail-oriented personality with strong team spirit and a problem-solving mindset
Interest in understanding business requirements in payments and coordinating with other teams
Proficiency in German and English.
