About the role

  • Responsible for the bank's financial risks, managing market, credit, liquidity and money market risks, and overseeing investment policies within the Governance, Risk and Compliance department
  • Accountable for the strategic and conceptual leadership of the department and for managing team leaders
  • Responsible for non-market-price-related risks in the investment area, such as operational, strategic and reputational risks
  • Ensuring smooth, effective and efficient business operations
  • Responsible for monitoring the bank's investment activities, financial risks and financial stability
  • Advising and presenting on investment and risk strategy matters to senior management, committees and the executive board
  • Cooperating with national and international authorities
  • Participating in ad hoc projects

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Economics or Econometrics
  • Professional experience focused on investment, risk and regulatory matters in an international bank, in auditing, or at FINMA or the ECB
  • Motivational leader with an interest in analytical, strategic/conceptual issues and change management
  • Ability to perform optimally under time pressure and remain focused on objectives
  • Solution-oriented, pragmatic work style with a strong sense of responsibility and conscientiousness
  • Business-fluent in interactions with senior management
  • Strong IT affinity
  • Proven communicator and networker with high integrity and loyalty
  • Interest in presentations and technical discussions
  • Fluent in German and English
