About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage one or more independent projects from startup to closeout
  • Support project implementations and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Apply Agile project management techniques and processes
  • Hold project team members accountable for deliverables and commitments
  • Monitor project metrics and use them in project discussions
  • Work with Portfolio leadership to address dynamic situations and ambiguity
  • Collaborate with Technical Leads on Release and Sprint Planning and brainstorming
  • Lead teams toward resolution of situations and challenges
  • Provide direction and day-to-day management of project teams
  • Communicate transparently through status reporting and manage senior PMO leaders’ expectations
  • Ensure team member commitment toward project objectives
  • Propose alternative solutions and approaches to address challenges
  • Identify project challenges and risks and proactively seek resolution
  • Apply risk management strategies
  • Prepare project and status presentations for small audiences

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 4-year degree or equivalent experience; technical or business background preferred
  • Minimum 5-year work experience in a team setting
  • Willingness to continue working in a team setting
  • Basic understanding of tooling such as Jira and Planview
  • Very proficient in MS Office, including Excel and MS Word
  • Ability to learn and utilize project tooling
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Scaled Agile or Scrum Master experience/certifications preferred
  • Project budget management experience preferred
  • Experience and understanding of P&C insurance is a big plus
