About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive the establishment of the Urban Mining Hub as part of the BauWIRKstatt project with the City of Aachen and successfully manage the pilot phase
- Further develop the warehouse and logistics concept for the Urban Mining Hub in Aachen
- Serve as the primary on-site contact and coordinate, manage, and administer activities at the hub
- Take responsibility for building and expanding the network with tradespeople, building owners/clients, demolition contractors and architectural firms to ensure hub utilization
- Represent the Urban Mining Hub to regional stakeholders and associations
- Strengthen North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) as a hub centre
- Contribute to funded interface projects in the Aachen/NRW area related to infrastructure for and storage of reuse projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed degree in civil engineering/architecture (building construction) or completed construction-technical vocational training
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to actively implement and drive strategic implementation concepts
- Knowledge of relevant local and regional stakeholders
- Strong networking skills
- Ability to inspire and mobilize others for circular construction and the Urban Mining Hub
- Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
