About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care duties for a group of patients under the guidance and supervision of the registered nurse
  • Perform activities of daily living and personal care needs
  • Perform technical skills and procedures relating to patients’ physical, mental health, and social needs
  • Document care provided and report observations and basic patient data to the RN
  • Adhere to safe patient handling policy
  • Maintain time management
  • Maintain patient care areas for cleanliness, safety, and adequate supplies and equipment
  • Receive delegated work while adhering to the five rights of delegation
  • Perform job-specific requirements and other assigned duties
  • Serve as a preceptor for new employees

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school or equivalent (GED) preferred
  • Proof of LNA Education Certificate required
  • Final Report of Written and Clinical Competency Testing Results required, as required by the NH Board of Nursing
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent course credentialed by American Heart Association, required
  • Current New Hampshire State LNA license required
  • Evidence of the ability to perform as a member of a team
  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, or push/pull up to 10 pounds
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, or push/pull 10–25 pounds
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or push/pull 20–50 pounds
  • Ability to perform fine motor tasks, hear, speak, and walk
  • Ability to bend, reach, sit, squat, and stand frequently
  • Ability to climb, perform repetitive motion, kneel, and smell occasionally
  • Color vision, depth perception, far vision, near vision, and peripheral vision
  • Frequent exposure to airborne pathogens, bloodborne pathogens, and bodily fluids
