About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide direct and indirect patient care for a group of patients under the guidance and supervision of the registered nurse
- Perform activities of daily living and personal care needs
- Perform technical skills and procedures addressing patients’ physical, mental health, and social needs
- Document care provided and report patient observations and basic patient data to the RN
- Adhere to safe patient handling policy
- Manage time effectively
- Maintain patient care areas for cleanliness, safety, supplies, materials, and equipment
- Receive and perform delegated work according to the five rights of delegation
- Perform job-specific requirements and other assigned duties
- Serve as a preceptor for new employees
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school or equivalent (GED) preferred
- Proof of LNA Education Certificate and Final Report of Written and Clinical Competency Testing Results, as required by the NH Board of Nursing
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent course credentialed by the American Heart Association
- Current New Hampshire State LNA license
- Ability to perform as a member of a team
- Ability to regularly lift, carry, or push/pull up to 10 pounds; frequently 10–25 pounds; and occasionally 20–50 pounds
- Ability to perform required fine motor, hearing, speaking, and walking activities
- Ability to frequently bend, reach, sit, squat, and stand
- Ability to occasionally climb, perform repetitive motion, kneel, and smell
- Required color vision, depth perception, far vision, near vision, and peripheral vision
- Ability to work with exposure to airborne and bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids, and occasional exposure to other listed workplace hazards
