About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Preparing a clear and detailed estimate based upon a thorough review of the architectural drawings and specifications for high-end commercial projects from bid to hand off to the Project Managers
Must be able to assign fabrication, finish, and installation time to each piece of millwork without the assistance of pre-determined formulas or times
Bidding projects ranging in size from $2,000 - $3M+
Responsible for reviewing assigned project invitations and gathering all information needed to complete a proposal
Clearly communicate with customers in a timely manner (via phone and/or email) to understand project requirements, goals, and post-bid questions
Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing Team to pursue and earn projects bid

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum (3) years of experience in millwork estimating
Ability to create a takeoff from scratch
Must be able to breakdown millwork into each piece and component and price without the aid of pre-existing formulas
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Strong understanding of millwork construction methods; demonstrate continuous education to keep up with changing needs
Experience using Bluebeam required
