About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Preparing a clear and detailed estimate based upon a thorough review of the architectural drawings and specifications for high-end commercial projects from bid to hand off to the Project Managers
  • Must be able to assign fabrication, finish, and installation time to each piece of millwork without the assistance of pre-determined formulas or times
  • Bidding projects ranging in size from $2,000 - $3M+
  • Responsible for reviewing assigned project invitations and gathering all information needed to complete a proposal
  • Clearly communicate with customers in a timely manner (via phone and/or email) to understand project requirements, goals, and post-bid questions
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing Team to pursue and earn projects bid

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum (3) years of experience in millwork estimating
  • Ability to create a takeoff from scratch
  • Must be able to breakdown millwork into each piece and component and price without the aid of pre-existing formulas
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding of millwork construction methods; demonstrate continuous education to keep up with changing needs
  • Experience using Bluebeam required
