About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide senior technical leadership supporting Air Force IT systems development and operations
- Focus on database architecture, performance, and data management
- Interface with customer/Program Management Office
- Support and coordinate with capability delivery teams including development Scrums, Cloud Engineering, and DevSecOps Platform
- Ensure database performance, availability, integrity, and security across all environments
- Tune the database, monitor database logs, install software and patches
- Maintain database and configuration on each database server and/or Cloud One
- Coordinate firewall access and release schedules with the PMO
- Resolve system anomalies, develop database strategies, and monitor production systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- US Citizenship Required
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Secret Clearance
- DoD 8140 intermediate certification or DoD 8570 IAM Level II certifications or higher
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Technology Management, or a degree in a closely related field
- 5-7 years of relevant experience
- 3+ years Database management in an AWS Gov Cloud environment (RDS)
- Security+ CE or CCNA Security certification required
- Knowledge of XMLS, AWS and Azure related technologies and utilities
