About the role
- Protecting networks & shaping security
- Administration, configuration and operation of Fortinet products (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiAP)
- Planning and implementation of firewall rule sets, security policies, NAT and VPN configurations
- Monitoring, logging and analysis of network and security events
- Performing fault analysis, troubleshooting and security audits
- Developing and implementing security concepts
- Developing and implementing network security strategies in customer environments
- Responsibility for the security of a corporate group and its critical infrastructures
- Creating and monitoring IT security policies and documentation
- Analyzing vulnerabilities and developing technical countermeasures
- Advising customers and colleagues on security architectures and best practices
- Working independently, in a structured and solution-oriented manner
- Independently managing security projects – from conception to implementation
- Technical coordination with colleagues and customers in a collaborative, peer-to-peer manner
- Actively contributing ideas to optimize internal processes and security standards
Requirements
- Completed vocational IT training (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration) or equivalent qualification
- Several years of professional experience in IT security, network administration or firewall management
- Solid knowledge of Fortinet products (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs and network security
- Fortinet certification (e.g., NSE4 or higher) is a plus
- Structured way of working, initiative and a high sense of responsibility
- Very good German language skills, written and spoken – as our client communicates in German
