About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Interpret the architecture design produced by the Solution Architect and detail the integrations planned for the project
Map business requirements against the defined architecture and propose the most appropriate technical solution for integrations
Create solution diagrams using the C4 Model — Level 3
Define and document integrations between systems, APIs, and services
Perform data mapping, identifying data sources, transformations, and destinations
Prepare API specifications using OpenAPI v3 / Swagger
Perform high-level estimates, technical surveys, and volume mapping
Produce capacity documentation and the information required for the infrastructure team to assess the solution's impacts
Participate in refinement sessions, technical meetings, and discussions with business stakeholders
Defend proposed solutions in architecture review panels
Detail the technical information necessary for the development team to implement the solution
Work closely with the development team during implementation to ensure adherence to the architectural design
Ensure application of software engineering best practices, architectural patterns, and design patterns
Evaluate scalability, security, performance, observability, and resilience aspects of integrations
Collaborate with Project Managers, Functional Analysts, Solution Architects, and architects of different systems to ensure alignment between business, architecture, and development

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid experience as an Integration Architect or in similar architecture roles
Experience with Hexagonal Architecture
Strong knowledge of Java SE/EE, Java, and Spring
Experience with REST and SOAP integrations
Knowledge and experience with the C4 Model, especially creating Level 3 diagrams
Experience with OpenAPI v3 / Swagger
Experience defining and documenting integration solutions
Knowledge of microservices, APIs, and Event-Driven Architecture (EDA)
Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Experience interacting with business, development, and infrastructure teams, as well as Project Managers, Functional Analysts, and Architects
Experience with API Gateway, preferably Axway Amplify
Knowledge of Azure
Experience with Camunda
Knowledge of OAM and API security
Experience building scalable architectures
Familiarity with Clean Code, componentization, code reuse, and design patterns
Experience with source code versioning tools
Knowledge of agile methodologies and CI/CD
Knowledge of unit, integration, and functional testing
Experience with observability, log analysis, monitoring, and application/infrastructure metrics
Experience with volume analysis and assessing infrastructure impacts
Knowledge of the full development lifecycle, from planning through delivery, continuous improvement, and impact monitoring
