About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze, plan, implement, and maintain test automation scripts;
Develop scalable, reusable, and easy-to-maintain automation frameworks;
Ensure application quality through UI and API test automation;
Contribute to the continuous integration of test suites into CI/CD pipelines;
Lead test automation strategies and promote the evolution of the team's quality practices;
Work from requirements refinement onward, promoting a Shift-Left culture;
Participate in defining and implementing automation standards and best practices;
Mentor junior and mid-level QA professionals, supporting their technical development;
Perform performance testing and support application security-related initiatives;
Collaborate with development, product, and business teams to ensure high-quality deliveries;
Monitor the coverage and effectiveness of automated tests, proposing continuous improvements.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid experience with test automation using Java and Selenium WebDriver;
Experience in API test automation using RestAssured;
Expertise in creating and evolving modular automation frameworks;
Advanced knowledge of design patterns applied to test automation;
Experience with UI and API testing;
Familiarity with BDD using Gherkin/Cucumber;
Knowledge of Shift-Left Testing practices;
Experience with version control using Git (GitHub or GitLab);
Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions;
Knowledge of code quality analysis using SonarQube;
Experience with relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases;
Knowledge of JSON and YAML;
Experience with Atlassian ecosystem tools (Jira, Confluence, and Xray);
Knowledge of performance testing using JMeter or K6;
Understanding of security fundamentals applied to the testing process.
