About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work closely with the Branch Manager to attain branch and Bank goals
- Ensure day-to-day operational excellence in the branch
- Supervise and lead Tellers
- Provide Breakthrough Client Service
- Process transactions and place clients in appropriate account and loan products
- Cross-sell bank services and make referrals to other departments
- Ensure the branch meets or exceeds operations standards and is responsible for satisfactory audits
- Monitor sales and service goals and coach team members to deepen customer relationships
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with consumers and businesses in the local community
- Provide proactive solutions and problem resolutions aligned with Breakthrough Client Service Standards
- Back up the personal banking team by opening accounts, receiving loan requests, and gathering credit-related information
- Manage, lead, train, and coach Tellers; may oversee personal bankers with the Branch Manager
- Process and oversee branch opening and closing, overdraft monitoring, wire transfers and collections, stop payments, and branch controls
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED, required
- 2 years of retail banking experience required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s, Vocational, or Technical Degree in banking, business, or related field preferred
- Equivalent work experience preferred as an alternative to the preferred degree
- 1 year of management or supervisory experience preferred
- 1 year of consumer and small business lending origination experience preferred
- Customer service background in retail or banking
- Ability to grow sales through long-lasting, knowledge-based client relationships and customized solutions
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including handling difficult customer and associate conversations professionally
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Proficient use of spreadsheets, banking computer systems, related software, and office equipment
- Ability to perform repetitive movements such as counting cash, typing, and handling documents
- Must act as a Bank MLO and register as an MLO under SAFE Act requirements
- Limited to open-end mortgage transactions; not authorized to act as a Bank Closed-End MLO
