About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support servicing operations for consumer lending products, including HELOCs, auto, boat, RV, CD-secured, and personal loans
  • Maintain loan documentation, servicing records, and system updates in alignment with approved loan terms and internal policies
  • Order and track property appraisals for home equity lines of credit
  • Perform general loan maintenance and process loan payments
  • Complete data entry and loan document creation
  • Perform lien perfection, escrow/tax support, flood review, and general ledger activities
  • Understand and apply retail loan product workflows, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Capture metrics to help leadership coordinate and adjust workflow
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts and implement workflow improvements
  • Maintain compliance with bank regulations and required training
  • Keep current with regulation changes and follow Bank policies and procedures
  • Maintain working knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other applicable regulations
  • Coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as a subject matter expert when requested
  • Foster Columbia’s corporate culture and contribute to a reliable, compliant lending experience
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • H.S. Diploma/GED preferred, not required
  • 4–7 years of advanced retail loan servicing or equivalent experience required
  • Advanced working knowledge of retail loans, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Advanced math, analytical, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Word, Excel, loan servicing systems, and other office equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot and determine best workflow practices
  • Critical thinking and ability to work in a service-oriented environment with high work volumes and deadlines
  • Ability to work fully onsite at the posted location
  • Occasional travel
