About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support optimization of workflow and processes for bank business units
- Identify and document business unit requirements
- Investigate business unit systems and identify options for improvement
- Bridge business unit needs with information technology solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to document, communicate, validate, and refine requirements
- Make recommendations based on product vision, market requirements, research data, and organizational goals
- Elicit information from subject matter experts, business owners, vendors, and others about existing and proposed business systems
- Research and interpret moderately complex business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
- Assist with business case development and the RFP process
- Assist with integration and user acceptance testing of workflows, processes, and systems
- Support development of training and implementation/post-implementation materials
- Serve as liaison between business units and the Technology Advancement Group (TAG)
- Maintain compliance with bank regulations, policies, procedures, and required training
- Keep current on regulatory changes and applicable banking policies
- Coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as a subject matter expert when requested
- Foster Columbia corporate culture and perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in business, project management, business systems or equivalent (preferred)
- 2–4 years of relevant business analyst, project management, and/or operations experience related to the assigned business unit function
- Business operations knowledge
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated data analysis skills, including project management and/or operations
- Knowledge of banking policies, procedures, practices, and documentation
- Proficient knowledge of development concepts and practices, potential applications, and customer requirements
- Proven use of project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage customer relationships
- Ability to work fully onsite at posted location(s)
- Occasional travel
