About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support optimization of workflow and processes for bank business units
Identify and document business unit requirements
Investigate business unit systems and identify options for improvement
Bridge business unit needs with information technology solutions
Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to document, communicate, validate, and refine requirements
Make recommendations based on product vision, market requirements, research data, and organizational goals
Elicit information from subject matter experts, business owners, vendors, and others about existing and proposed business systems
Research and interpret moderately complex business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
Assist with business case development and the RFP process
Assist with integration and user acceptance testing of workflows, processes, and systems
Support development of training and implementation/post-implementation materials
Serve as liaison between business units and the Technology Advancement Group (TAG)
Maintain compliance with bank regulations, policies, procedures, and required training
Keep current on regulatory changes and applicable banking policies
Coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as a subject matter expert when requested
Foster Columbia corporate culture and perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in business, project management, business systems or equivalent (preferred)
2–4 years of relevant business analyst, project management, and/or operations experience related to the assigned business unit function
Business operations knowledge
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated data analysis skills, including project management and/or operations
Knowledge of banking policies, procedures, practices, and documentation
Proficient knowledge of development concepts and practices, potential applications, and customer requirements
Proven use of project management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage customer relationships
Ability to work fully onsite at posted location(s)
Occasional travel
