About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review construction loan documents according to credit policy requirements and protect the Bank’s interests through proper documentation
  • Ensure approved terms and conditions are implemented throughout construction loan administration and accompanying draws
  • Monitor and collect required due diligence items
  • Coordinate document and funding requests and verify accuracy
  • Serve as primary liaison with customers, inspectors, and title company representatives during loan closing and construction
  • Review and analyze land surveys, environmental assessments, project reviews, and building inspection reports
  • Maintain loan and disbursement files for third-party review and prepare files for timely audits
  • Analyze construction budgets to identify project-related costs and funding sources
  • Analyze and reconcile construction draw requests, recommend approval, and obtain required approvals
  • Prepare monthly construction draws
  • Work daily with loan customers by telephone, email, and in person
  • Maintain compliance with bank policies, internal controls, regulations, and required training
  • Coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as a subject matter expert when requested
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred, not required
  • 5 years of experience in commercial real estate, construction loan administration, or a related field, including project management or management experience
  • 2–4 years of title and escrow experience is preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of title, escrow, survey, and loan documentation preparation
  • Advanced knowledge of operational systems, procedures, construction guidelines, and services supported by the Commercial Real Estate Services Department
  • Extensive knowledge of construction industry and construction lending, including multi-phased construction and multiple collateral properties
  • Organizational and project management skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Precision, AccuDraw or similar construction draw monitoring software, PowerPoint, Excel, and creating links and fillable PDF documents
  • Strong technical expertise in construction draw administration functions
  • Knowledge of commercial real estate finance procedures, documentation, accounting, processes, procedures, and data systems
  • Well-developed customer relations skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to effectively multitask and maintain a high level of organization
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and loan accounting systems
  • Ability to work fully onsite at posted location(s)
  • No travel required
