About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assisting Occupational Therapists in evaluating client's level of functionality and need for therapy
- Implementation of therapy programs developed by the Occupational Therapist, to meet assigned client’s rehabilitation goals and objectives
- Provide treatment techniques which include, but are not limited to, activities of daily living, perceptual-motor activities, guidance and use of adaptive equipment, exercises to enhance functional performance, prevocational evaluation and treatment, and use of assistive technology; collecting and accurately recording data on therapy programs
Requirements
What you’ll need- An Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy and active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License in applicable state(s)
- Minimum of two (2) years related work experience, preferably in a rehabilitation, or long-term care setting
- A valid driver's license and responsible driving behaviors must be maintained
- Competence in writing, planning, organization and documentation, as well as time management skills
- The ability to communicate with families, professionals and co-workers is a must
- The ability to demonstrate positive client interaction skills is essential
