About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate and treat impairments across speech and language
- Evaluate and treat executive functioning and cognitive needs
- Evaluate and treat dysphagia
- Evaluate and treat augmentative communication needs
- Provide patient-centered care in patients’ homes and communities
- Develop and implement integrated treatment plans with interdisciplinary teams
- Incorporate creative, evidence-based activities to address functional goals
- Accept patients for the duration of their stay in PRN assignments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completion of Master’s degree in Speech Pathology
- State licensure is required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA is required
- Experience in treatment of neurologically related disorders strongly preferred
- Excellent planning, organization, writing, and time management skills
- Ability to communicate with families, professionals, and co-workers
- Experience treating traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVAs, or other neurological or complex orthopedic diagnoses is relevant to the role
