About the role

  • Overseeing the full capital project accounting lifecycle
  • Ensuring all project activities meet business and financial standards
  • Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation
  • Leading the offshore support team to deliver accurate, timely and compliant outcomes
  • Managing month-end capital project activities such as provisions, reconciliations and reporting
  • Ensuring compliance with financial, accounting and business policies
  • Approving project creations, modifications, journals, reporting outputs and reconciliations
  • Resolving internal and external escalations related to capital project activities
  • Managing change across Capital Projects, including enhancements and process improvements

Requirements

  • CA or CPA qualification
  • Experience managing end-to-end capital project accounting or similar financial processes
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance requirements and month-end activities
  • Ability to lead, coach and support offshore or distributed teams
  • Confidence resolving escalations and engaging effectively with stakeholders
  • Continuous improvement mindset and strong attention to detail
  • Advanced computer literacy and MS Office skills
  • Advanced knowledge in the use of SAP, Ariba or other ERP systems
